Steve has a nice post about OpenDNS, an alternative DNS provider aiming to provide a quicker name resolution service. It also has built in phishing capabilities.
One thing I did notice was that I'm pointing to one of their US DNS servers (they have a London based one coming soon for us Brits) and it's still quicker than my old one.
I can honestly say, I just tried and it and, thanks Steve, it is faster than my ISP anyway. Defintely worth a try, instructions on their site here...
