Gumball 3000 and Windows Mobile...

Having watched the Gumball rally for the last few years (mainly for the cars, hey!), it was nice to see they’re using Windows Mobile 5 powered devices and ALK’s CoPilot SatNav system.

One thing thats neat about CoPilot is the SDK ALK can supply you with to allow you to build navigation into your own application, such as the DriveAssist app mentioned in the article.  DriveAssist made substantial savings using this technology to help there drivers across the UK get to there destination faster (or in a more direct route you’d probably say).  Probably should mention TBS here who developed the solution for DriveAssist.

Just watched the demo to CoPilot, doesn't compare to TomTom. I guess the Live element is ok, but nothing you couldn't code for TomTom with google Maps without the subscription charge.
